Slack Integration

How does Redbrick AI connect to Slack?

Redbrick AI integrates with Slack using Slack’s official API and a bot token–based access model.
By installing the Redbrick AI bot in your Slack workspace and inviting it to specific channels, Redbrick AI can understand and utilize the conversations within those channels.
With Slack channel messages as a source, users can perform actions such as search, summarization, idea generation, contextual responses, and internal knowledge indexing through Work AI features.
Redbrick AI enhances collaboration without disrupting your workflow—turning everyday conversations into accessible, structured knowledge.

How is my data protected?

Redbrick follows enterprise-grade security standards.

All data is fully encrypted during transmission and storage.AI access is restricted by user permissions (ACL), and your data is never shared with or trained on by any external AI models. When used in Slack, Redbrick respects the same access controls — it only retrieves messages, files, or threads that you can already access.

Does the AI learn from my files?

No.

Redbrick AI does not train on or share your data with OpenAI, Anthropic, Slack, or any other external provider. Your information stays within your organization’s environment and is used only for secure search and retrieval inside Redbrick.
You retain 100 % ownership of your data at all times.

What happens if I disconnect an integration?

If you disconnect Slack, all indexed data from that service is automatically deleted from Redbrick AI.
References may still appear in past chat history, but clicking those files will display the following notice:

“This file has been deleted from the original service and is no longer accessible.”
